Prayer & Worship

• Do you long for a deeper relationship with God?
• Do you need time out to reflect on your life?
In a world defined increasingly by noise, competition and a sense of isolation, Holy Wisdom Monastery offers a place of calm, silence, beauty and simplicity. Whether you come for an hour, a day or a weekend, we welcome you.
Benedictine life stems from a “little rule for beginners” that was written in the sixth century: the Rule of Benedict. This ancient text survives today as a lasting source of spiritual wisdom. It is practical. It is simple. It is relevant to the world in which we live.
The Rule fosters a way of life that brings people together. The connections begin with the deep roots put down by the monastic community. They grow with every person who takes time to pray, to experience the hospitality, to share the concern for justice or to take part in caring for the earth.
Benedictine life is rooted in a rhythm of prayer. All guests are invited to join us in daily prayer or Sunday worship, regardless of your faith tradition.
We look forward to your visit.
The prayer and worship schedule is located in the right sidebar on our website, on the individual prayer pages or in this PDF version of the monastic community schedule.
