All are welcome to the opening reception for the spring art exhibit, Beneath the Surface, featuring photographs of well-known Madison locations seen in intriguingly unfamiliar ways. Photographer, Lisa Seidman crafts images emphasizing the furtive, fleeting, hidden and unnoticed. It’s a perspective that brings new appreciation for familiar places by illuminating that which is just beneath the surface of the everyday.
The exhibit opens Friday, May 4, 2018 with a reception held at Holy Wisdom Monastery from 5:00-7:00 pm. The evening will include a brief reflection by the artist at 6:00 pm and light refreshments will be served.
The exhibit will run May 4 through the end of July. Gallery hours are M – F, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (excluding holidays) and Sundays 10:00 am – 11:00 am.
